Waterville Fair and Horse Races

Sunday we went to Waterville for the Douglas County Fair and my favorite, the horse races. It was kind of a gray blustery dusty day, not the best for photos but still I enjoyed it. Rodeo events went on between the races and while they are not my favorite, I did get some good images.

More Great Fun in the Methow Valley.

The fiddlers'trophies featured stylized tomato hornworms in honor of the lunch time giant bug contest! The musicians were very talented and ranged in age from 4 to 70.

Last weekend was

The First Annual Methow Valley Old Time Music Festival

near the Chewuck River. It was a celebration of acousitc stringed music attended by many talented folks and a whole lot of small children dancing, swimming and toasting marshmallows.
